penwallaHere we go. Violet's here for her first signet sparring course, pining for Xaden's hot body all the way. She and Xaden have some telepathic banter where she tells him all the research she's doing offscreen. I wish we got to see some of that on the page in place of all the things we actually have been forced to endure. The lesson opens with Xaden thrashing one of the riders who has doubts about Xaden's ability.
Because he graduated recently.
Buddy, that's your concern?
While he does this, Violet and Rhiannon are whispering about Sawyer, who still hasn't returned to training. Presumably because of his leg.
Xaden utterly defeats this guy, making Violet and some of her friends super horny. He then defeats a series of other characters. He does pause to announce to the class how powerful Violet is, just in case the reader has forgotten that she's the Very Best Ever. The chapter then ends, with it finally being Violet's turn to fight.
WHY IS THIS A WHOLE CHAPTER. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.
I am going to point out the one thing of interest in this chapter: the place where the class was held was warded really well to confine the rider's signets to a defined area. This is tech that hasn't been mentioned before, and would be a great asset against the venin, I think, so I hope it actually shows up again.
