March Reading Update

penwallaThis is a pretty weak update, since all I did in March was binge Persona 5 manga, but hey, here we go.

Read:
Persona 5 Vol. 1-9 by Hisato Murasaki
5/5, with the caveat that you probably won't enjoy it as much if you haven't already played and enjoyed the games. This is just P5 cutscenes converted into manga format, but that's fine by me, because sometimes you want to reexperience a story and not have to replay a 100+ hour RPG, you know?
Persona 5: Mementos Mission Vol. 1 by Rokuro Saito
Okay, now this is an adaptation that is actually interesting! Unlike the regular P5 manga, this one focuses on the Mementos missions. It's basically a slice of life manga ft. a very sleep deprived Ren as he and his friends try to fix like 8 problems at once. The content is original, taking what in-game is just a series of text messages followed by a quick battle in Mementos into full investigations. I genuinely really enjoyed the group dynamic, the characterization, and the art style.
